Cristina Canziani was born in Trieste where she graduated with highest honors and distinction at the “Giuseppe Tartini" Conservatory. After the title she took postgraduates studies both in Italy and abroad with Aldo Ciccolini, Aquiles and Nelson Delle Vigne, Marcella Crudeli, Alexander Lonquich, Michel Fassina and for Chamber music with Giuliano Carmignola, Renato Biffoli, Alfonso Ghedin, Franco Gulli, Hermann Baumann. She has also played with countless symphonic and chamber orchestras, most of all with the North Czech Philharmonic Teplice, the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Camerata Ducale Orchestra. In 2009 she recorded for Chandos Records "Petite École de la Mélodie”.
Besides her pianistic activity, Cristina Canziani starts an Artistic Director career. In 1992 established with Guida Rimonda the Camerata Ducale Association, taking charge of it from the very beginning. Following came the Camerata Ducale Orchestra and later the Viotti Festival sponsored by the Vercelli city council. Today the Concert Season of the Camerata Ducale Orchestra is one of the most appreciated music events in Italy with a program that stands out for the quality of performers and musical programs .
